Position Summary:
The Director of Equity will be a pivotal member of the finance department in a renewable energy company, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role is responsible for overseeing all equity financing activities, managing relationships with investors, and supporting capital-raising strategies to fuel company growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in equity management within the energy sector, an understanding of renewable energy markets, and a strong network in the investment community. This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will align closely with the company's commitment to Vision 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equity Strategy and Financing:
- Develop and execute the company's equity financing strategy to support renewable energy projects and corporate growth.
- Oversee the entire process of equity funding, from sourcing potential investors to closing deals and managing post-investment relationships.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, particularly the CFO, to identify and evaluate new financing opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Investor Relations and Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with equity investors, venture capitalists, and strategic partners to secure funding for current and future projects.
- Conduct regular updates, presentations, and financial reports to investors, ensuring transparency and alignment with the company's mission and financial goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all equity-related inquiries and maintain strong lines of communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Financial Analysis and Market Insights:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, capital structures, and investor expectations within the renewable energy space.
- Provide insight into equity markets and advise the CFO on optimal times for capital raising or other financial activities.
- Monitor industry benchmarks, competitors, and regulatory changes to refine and adjust the company's equity strategy as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with legal, compliance, and business development teams to ensure that equity transactions meet regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
- Support the CFO in capital allocation decisions, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Work closely with the project management and development teams to understand the financial needs of individual projects and develop targeted equity funding solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in equity financing or capital markets within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy landscape, specifically in equity financing, project finance, and investor relations.
- Proven experience in capital raising and managing investor relationships within large-scale projects or corporate settings.
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating complex financial strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous.
