Job Role:
As a Business Development Director focused on fund raising, your main responsibility will be to lead the real estate developers fundraising efforts and build strong relationships with institutional investors. You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company's real estate development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to attract institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals, targeting both regional and global markets.
Investor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential investors, ensuring regular communication, providing updates on projects, and addressing any investor concerns or queries.
Investment Proposition Sales: Present and sell investment propositions to potential investors, highlighting the unique features and advantages of the projects and addressing investor needs and requirements.
Due Diligence: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all necessary due diligence materials are prepared and provided to investors, addressing any concerns or inquiries they may have.
Market Research: Stay updated with market trends, competitor analysis, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and formulate innovative strategies for fundraising.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments including finance, legal, marketing, and project development teams to ensure seamless execution of fundraising activities and projects.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with investors, working to secure favorable terms and conditions for both parties and achieve successful fundraising outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to fundraising activities, investor communications, and agreements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in fundraising, private equity, private banking, or alternative investment.
- Previous experience in real estate or luxury real estate development is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully raising funds and closing deals with institutional investors.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with high-profile investors.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment propositions effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong sense of accountability and ability to work autonomously.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and regulatory frameworks.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a relevant field. An MBA is a plus.
