Director of Event Sales

We are seeking a talented Director of Event Sales to join our world-class team at voco Monaco Dubai and Sweden Beach Palace, The World Islands.
As Director of Event Sales, you will be at the heart of creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, driving revenue, and ensuring seamless event execution. You will oversee all aspects of sales, planning, and delivering extraordinary events, from corporate meetings to weddings and special celebrations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & Execute Strategy: Create a comprehensive event strategy that supports business goals and drives revenue through innovative event offerings.
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Respond to inquiries, maximize the utilization of function spaces, and convert leads to sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, from conferences to weddings, ensuring they meet the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
- Budget Oversight: Manage event budgets with precision, ensuring cost-effective solutions while adhering to financial guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the events team, providing guidance and support to ensure they perform at their best.
- Vendor Relations & Negotiations: Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and luxury operators, ensuring favorable terms and seamless event execution.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and ensuring events exceed their expectations.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all events comply with legal, health, and safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of operation and service delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven Leadership: Minimum 3 years experience in event planning and management, with a strong track record in a leadership role with a 4/5* luxury hotel in the region.
- Exceptional Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Creative & Strategic: Ability to think creatively while executing a strategy that drives results and ensures memorable events.
- Negotiation Expertise: Excellent negotiation skills with experience managing vendor contracts and partnerships.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Thrives Under Pressure: Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality
