JOB TITLE: Director of Global Quality Management
LOCATION: Sharjah, UAE
REPORTS TO: VP of Quality
Main Purpose Of Role
The Director of Global Quality Management and Compliance leads global quality management and is responsible for its compliance through planning and leading companywide internal and external audits. The role is also responsible for analysis of Customer Satisfaction Insights and defining improvement actions based on the inputs received from customers.
The role supports quality Function for some other assigned activities explained below.
This individual must be able to work collaboratively across the organisation with people from diverse backgrounds, engaging with multiple Functions, Business units and corporate team.
The candidate must be a proven business leader with the desire and experience to drive strategic change and operational execution with high level of analytics, communication, and collaboration skills. The candidate will be skilled in how to work with diverse teams.
Key Duties & Accountabilities
Process Compliance and Audits
- Design and lead Annual Internal Audit program (for on high-risk processes/projects), drive and monitor its effectiveness through closure of the audit findings.
- Optimize the quality audit program across the group and enhance the efficiency of the quality audits in line with the group and Improve audit finding closure cycle team.
- Maintain a competent pool of auditors, lead and assign them for the scheduled audits and ensure resource utilisation.
- Ensure a robust and digital mechanism and process for recording the audit plan and audit finding.
- Conduct periodic review of audit results, analyse, suggest process improvements. Escalate overdue audit findings to relevant stakeholders for necessary intervention.
- Provide process improvement recommendations from audit results.
ISO 9001:2015 QMS
- Implement ISO 9001:2015 and maintain the compliance with the certificate.
- Ensure the organizational structure, procedures, processes and resources for the Quality Management System and implementation of quality management are adequate to meet the needs of the business and conform to all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain Service Agreement with Certification body for ISO 9001:2015 Certification, Recertification, and periodic surveillance visit and act as the main point of contact. Manage external quality audits as per ISO 9001:2015 and Petrofac requirements considering contractual requirements.
- Manage QMS umbrella certification across all business lines and provide guidance to other offices (operating centres) for managing the QMS certification requirements.
- Lead quality MRM (Quality Management Review Meetings) & external Audits Calendar for Petrofac service lines.
- Lead QMS council across the various quality departments.
- Drive the harmonization and standardization of Quality level 2 documents across the company (as part of the Global Management System initiative).
- Support delivery of the Quality Induction for new joiners and drive compliance.
Customer Feedback Analysis
- Act as a customer survey focal point from Quality.
- Drive and facilitate stakeholder discussion and actions post survey, agree on actions with accountability on ownership and closure.
- Identify improvements from customer survey results.
Project/Contract Quality Requirement & Quality Recourses
- Review Quality requirements at pre-award phase and support on technical bid evaluations.
- Represent quality function in customer meetings on the pre-award and evaluation phase.
- Support quality function on the recruiting, selecting, and interviewing quality personnel, including discipline inspectors and coordinators.
- Support putting in place a resource evaluation mechanism.
General
- Measure and report agreed KPIs related to the above areas and present the performance results of audits, customer survey, MRM actions, etc., in the monthly quality review meetings.
- Work closely with GMS (BMS) system leader who maintains the management system platform.
- Work closely with Director of Continuous Improvement and identify improvement opportunities from different sources, i.e. Audits, Lessons Learnt, business and Customer feedback.
- Support coaching and mentoring quality employees and empowering them to drive change within their own areas of responsibility.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree preferred in Engineering or similar.
- Must hold ISO 9001:2015 QMS Auditor certification and IRCA registered.
- Preferably Certifications in Project Management.
- A minimum of 3 years in a senior quality management role.
- Oil and Gas and EPC industry process knowledge.
- Must have experience in executing and managing the audits.
- Knowledge on Customer Satisfaction survey process and relevant improvements.
- Able to manage external audits and maintain ISO 9001:2015 QMS umbrella certification.

- 15-20 years of experience in a relevant environment, with a minimum of 10 years in oil and gas sector.

- Demonstrated ability to lead complex problem-solving efforts to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and confidently defend informed recommendations.
