Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Logistics to lead our logistics operations and drive efficiency and optimization across the supply chain. The Director of Logistics will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in logistics management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement logistics strategies to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies and initiatives to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and cost reduction through route optimization, inventory management, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes and enhance efficiency and agility.
  • Manage relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, and third-party vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and performance objectives are achieved.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and service enhancements.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization, to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Implement inventory tracking systems and procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate logistics-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, security threats, and compliance issues.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth and engagement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the logistics organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in logistics management or supply chain operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
