We are seeking a Director of Maintenance whowill oversee all aspects of maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance, safety, and guest satisfaction at our venues. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead a team in maintaining the highest standards of facility upkeep, energy management, and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance and engineering staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules for all properties to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairs.
- Oversee capital projects, renovations, and improvement initiatives, working closely with contractors and other departments.
- Manage the maintenance budget, control expenses, and oversee procurement for supplies, equipment, and contracts.
- Develop strategies for energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across properties.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, and implement best practices in risk management and disaster preparedness.
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of maintenance and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality service.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a senior maintenance role, preferably within luxury hospitality or high-end resort environments.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, MEP, kitchen, and energy management systems.
- Proven experience managing large teams and multiple properties.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and budgeting skills.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and environmental initiatives.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
