Director Portfolio Management/Planning

Our client, a real estate holding company is looking for a Director of Portfolio Planning. This professional will lead the strategic budgeting and financial planning for a prominent real estate group with multiple divisions under its umbrella. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role demands a seasoned professional with a background in M&A, extensive FP&A expertise, and significant real estate industry experience. This entrepreneurial and commercially focused position will oversee group-wide initiatives to optimize revenues, reduce costs, and identify synergies across the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee annual budgeting and long-term financial planning, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency through performance monitoring and trend analysis

- Assess and enhance the performance of five divisions, driving synergies and aligning with corporate objectives to maximize growth

- Evaluate M&A opportunities, conducting due diligence, valuations, & integration to enhance portfolio's value

- Partner with division heads to enforce financial discipline, streamline operations, and optimize cost structures

- Prepare and deliver strategic financial reports & forecasts to Group CEO, highlighting risks and opportunities

- Act as a key advisor on financial planning and portfolio management to influence executive decision-making

Requirements:

- Minimum 10+ years in FP&A or related fields, with prior exposure to M&A and strategic portfolio planning

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred)

- Proven track record in the real estate sector is essential

- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
