My client are seeking an accomplished Director of Project Finance to drive financial excellence across their project portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role focused on optimising project execution, enhancing cash flows, and overseeing financial performanceall while ensuring alignment with our company's objectives and IFRS accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project finance, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial reporting.
- Ensure financial consistency and compliance across projects with deep financial oversight.
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders to incorporate project finance insights into our broader financial strategy.
- Collaborate with operations to provide financial updates, address risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive the collection process, ensuring cash flow optimisation through improved documentation, dispute resolution, and factoring initiatives.
- Champion digitalisation initiatives, focusing on automation and AI-enhanced reporting.
- Facilitate smooth transitions between project finance and commercial finance teams post-contract signature.
- Align project finance processes with corporate, external entities, and 3rd-party suppliers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project finance team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA is highly preferred.
- 12-15 years in project finance, ideally within the international defence or manufacturing sectors.
- Expertise in financial and accounting principles related to long-term contracts.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial digitalisation and AI finance tools.
- Strong communication skills, cross-functional leadership experience, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
