Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the PMO, defining its mission, goals, and operating model
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and support staff within the PMO
- Lead and build the full Projects Framework and Governance
- Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and best practices tailored to our organization's needs
- Oversee project portfolio management, ensuring projects are prioritized and resourced appropriately
- Collaborate closely with senior management to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and issues
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO, promoting innovation and efficiency
- Serve as a key advisor to senior management on project management matters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience (10 years) in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering software projects
- Previous experience (5 years) in a leadership role within a PMO or similar function and building PMO units
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- PMP, Prince2, or other relevant certifications preferred
