About the Company - Our client is a local conglomerate looking to hire a director to handle the safety & security division handling large scale projects for customers in government, oil & gas, industrial & large enterprise sectors in the UAE.
About the Role - As Business Unit Head to direct the formulation and implementation of policies for the Safety and Security Division Business Unit to secure orders and execute, projects and maintenance contracts profitability to meet the corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the process of seeking booking of new orders by identifying bids for tenders, submit bids, negotiate and book projects for increasing revenue and improved profits.
- Overseas estimation of jobs for more accurate bidding and being competitive to book jobs.
- Oversees the execution of projects from Design, Build, erect, install, testing, commissioning, and handing over to achieve execution complying with client specifications.
- Recommends purchase of approved materials so as to control costs for achieving better profitability.
- Responsible for selection, Recruitment, and Training of staff to achieve best of talent pool to execute jobs in most efficient manner with optimum resources.
- Responsible for coordinating with other Divisions of group for smooth functioning with the leveraging of corporate image & in house resources and expanding the business.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance of all work to Quality and Healthcare regulations to maintain highest quality standards of work with safety as well corporate ethics and governance.
- Responsible for initiating & executing all actions for consolidation of resources to cut down costs and grow the Division with consistent improvement in profitability. Responsible for collecting invoices and distribute accordingly.
- Strategically collaborate and grow in the segments of Industrial and Oil & Gas.
- Focus efforts in consolidating offerings in ICT and firefighting/fire alarm segments.
Qualifications -
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with 20+ years of experience heading the business in life safety, fire protection and ICT (CCTV security) segments. MBA would be an added desired qualification.
- Should be a great leader with strong negotiation and business acumen skills.
- Excellent risk management skills
- Deep knowledge of the market
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Been a Head of Business and managed P&L responsibility.
- Worked as head of business in life safety, fire protection and ICT segments and be responsible for P&L and growth.
