Reporting into our Subsurface Research Leadership, an experienced, highly motivated, innovative and performance driven Research Director is required to develop and lead our Subsurface agenda in the Middle East in service of driving material revenue growth across the region. The role is located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Capabilies
- MSc or equivalent level qualification in a Geoscience or Reservoir Engineering discipline
- A minimum of 20 years of relevant, professional experience in the Upstream sector with exposure across the value chain, from exploration to production.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the petroleum geology and oil and gas markets of the Middle East.
- Extensive knowledge of the global energy industry and the Energy Transition.
- Deep experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
- Strong blend of technical skills and experience and demonstrable commercial acumen.
- A track record in demonstrating differentiated values and behaviours.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Expectations
- We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be required to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment. Full-time remote working is not an option for this role.
- Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones.
