Roles & Responsibilities
A. Purpose and Scope
To ensure that all construction works of new projects are planned, executed and delivered on time, within budget, safely and in line with company procedures and guidelines and conforming to all legal and regulatory requirements.
B. Responsibilities and Duties
· Layout and details portions of projects using a schematic layout by project lead engineer. May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.
· Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
· Giving the inputs to designers for them to prepare the drawing.
· Understanding client design requirement for the project and give a product to the satisfaction of client and deliver it within the time estimated/scheduled as agreed with the client.
· Getting the required inputs from respective disciplines for designing the structures /foundations.
· Preparation of Design Criteria, Structural Tender drawings, specification and preparing engineering calculations
· Preparing a design that is most suitable for the intended purpose and that suits to the functional.
· Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects for completion, within the budget and program.
· Ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality structural engineering design. Ensuring all engineering quality procedures lined by the company are met.
· Be the first point of contact for Authorities, contractors, Structural design team and Structural third parties.
· Review and assess environmental factors, government regulations, risk analysis, reports and to prepare a comprehensive study of all relevant design factors.
· Research existing and new material technology to determine practical applications, strength and durability expectations and cost-benefits information, and prepare material recommendations for current and future projects.
· Liaise with the Employers representative at site, Supervision Consultant, Main Contractors, Subcontractor to ensure that the buildings are structurally sound and safe.
· Conversant with design of structures for wind and seismic loads.
· Design of common structural materials as well as a good understating of current design standards and working practices.
· Translate broad range of technical skills into imaginative ideas which enhance the quality of designs.
· Assist in preparing bids and generally enhance project success.
· Actively manage Local Authority, team of Structural Engineers, draftsman.
· Manage and work within the budget and program, to control costs and manage change control processes.
· Build good relationships with all other team members, management and local authorities.
· Effectively manage own time, which may be necessary if allocated to more than one project.
· Project Planning & develop projects from concept to construction stage.
· Recommend improvements to departmental policy and implement procedures and controls covering all areas , so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost effective service to customers.
· Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across , to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
· Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

· Reports to Project Engineer with dotted line reporting to CEO and BDM

- Qualification, Knowledge, Experience
a. Academic Qualification & Professional Qualification
· Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
b. Experience (minimum preferred)
· 5-6 years of experience with solar installation projects
- Technical Requirements
· Strong computer skills
· Knowledge of CAD programs
· Engineering calculations
· Document tracking.
· Knowledge about Primavera software or MS Projects
