PhD Position Opening on Statistics and Machine Learning at Sorbonne Universit | SCAI Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence | Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi

I am excited to announce that we are hiring fully funded PhD students to join our SCAI research group! All the projects are posted under the SCAI tab here at https://lnkd.in/dYPjZ_mN

I (primary supervisor) and Maharajah Ponnaiah (co-supervisor) are hiring one PhD student to work on 'Advancing Machine Learning Systems for Temporal Healthcare Data'.

Project Overview:

The PhD project will focus on developing advanced machine learning models for healthcare time series data, emphasizing spatiotemporal modeling, graph-based deep learning, and interpretable AI. Theoretical developments (asymptotic analysis) of the models are an integral part of the project.

What were looking for:

Strong background in Probability, Statistics, and Machine Learning/Deep Learning.

Interest in time series analysis, graph neural networks, or healthcare applications

Programming experience in Python and ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)

Eligibility: 2 Years Masters degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ a related field from a Premier Institution.

Location: Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi (registration and degree will be awarded by Sorbonne Universit, Paris, France).

Start Date: Fall 2025

Funding: Fully funded with a competitive salary for 3 years.
