Job Description
As a Document Controller for this project, you willact as the focal point of contact on all activities related to project document control which include (but not limited to): proper execution & processing of all project documentations as per approved DC procedures and
work processes using the approved EDMS and other complimentary platforms ensuring the smooth flow of document control functions/activities at different phases or stages of the project.
Responsibilities not limited:
- Ensure that all project documentation is managed, processed / handled as per approved DC procedures or standard best practices.
- Implement an effective hardcopy & electronic filing system and ensure that it provides a record of reference in the event of later query or dispute.
- Coordination, development and implementation of Project Distribution Matrices at different phases of the project ensuring that relevant project documentation / information including correspondences or communications are received or shared to all concerned recipients or entities on a timely manner.
- Administer and support the use of project EDMS and complimentary platforms in information sharing with third parties or external entities which include access management.
- Administration & Management of Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree or Computer Science graduate.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role performing effective document control and data management in a complex project environment.
- Knowledgeable and have an in-depth experience in the use and management of EDMS commonly in Document Control & Data Management.
- Have excellent experience in handling and managing documentation at different phases/stages of the project until project completion or handover.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Proficient in utilizing industry-standard document control software and tools or EDMS's in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy & EPCM sectors such as; ACX, SAP DMS, SPF, OpenText and others.
- Ability to work effectively across different organizations, including other concerned business units.
- Strong communication skills (English) both verbal and written.
- Advance knowledge in the use of Adobe Acrobat Pro and has at least basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation & Visio.
