DPA / Marine

Tehama Shipping Services is looking for a DPA / Marine.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure that marine operation procedures are in place and implemented, provide day to day support to the vessels to ensure safe operations.

- Promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

- Ensure Safety & Marine environment protection of the vessel's operations.

- Ensure implementation of ISM Code on board.

- Verify and check of ship's flag and class certificates in addition to corrective actions required during Auditing and PSC Inspections.

- Prepare emergency safety procedures, safety training, emergency drills and exercises.

- Oversee the supply and monitor stocks of container lashing gears on board, any other cargo related equipment and ensure load computers are kept up to date, and properly used.

- Oversee the supply, inventory and upkeep of all charts, nautical publications, Nav. Equipment, deck stores, spares and paints.

- Ensure that all international and national regulations applicable to the vessels including ISPS, MLC etc., are correctly implemented and that the vessels are fully compliant with it.

- Monitor investigation on accidents, breakdowns and provide adequate and prompt support to each vessel at the time of emergency.

Qualifications

* Master CoC, ISM Code certification, Bachelor Degree in Maritime Transport preferable.

* 8 years of experience in the shipping industry.

* Skills: excellent knowledge in ISM / DPA regulations at sea, emergency response plan, good communication skills, high level of responsibility.

Salary Range: 15-17 K AED + self insurance.
