My client, a public sector organization is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Economist Director to join their team.
Job Description
Lead the formulation of economic policies by conducting comprehensive research, analyzing data, and assessing economic trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
Collaborate with senior officials to develop long-term economic strategies aligned with organizational goals and government priorities.
Assess the effectiveness of existing policies and programs through rigorous evaluation methods, identifying areas for improvement and recommending necessary adjustments.
Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry experts, and international organizations, to gather input, build consensus, and foster collaboration on economic initiatives.
Represent the organization in external forums, conferences, and meetings to advocate for policies that promote economic growth and sustainability.
The Successful Applicant
Advanced degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
Extensive experience (6 years) in economic research, policy analysis, and strategic planning, preferably in a governmental or public sector environment.
Proficiency in econometric modeling, statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python), and data visualization tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex economic data and communicate findings effectively.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead teams, manage projects, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
