The English Language Teaching (ELT) Division is a global leader in the provision of multimedia English language teaching, learning, and assessment materials. Operating globally, it reaches millions of teachers and students each year to support the development of English language proficiency.
About the role
The purpose of the job is to promote the full range of ELT titles so that country and divisional targets are met and the market share of the local distributor/the OUP group is increased.
The responsibilities of this position:
- To establish, develop, and coordinate regular contacts with schools, institutions, key decision makers and distributors to secure adoptions, build OUP's profile, manage the effective distribution of samples and ensure the availability of OUP products.
- Control expenditures and plan school visiting to make the most effective use of time and budget available.
- Represent OUP at appropriate teachers events and exhibitions to maintain and improve OUP's profile.
- Provide feedback on OUP titles, the external market, and competitors activities to contribute to the development of promotion and marketing plans.
- Develop and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of products in order to take full advantage of all promotional opportunities.
- To undertake relevant administrative tasks as necessary to ensure smooth-running of promotional activities of the Sales Dept.
- Act accordingly and feel responsible for the Ethics, Compliance, and Health and Safety policies of OUP.
About you
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships using a consultative approach.
- Experience in English language teaching/classroom teaching and the publishing industry (especially with English Educational Publishers ).
- Having a driver's license and being an active driver.
- Ability to think creatively in the areas of pedagogy, promotion, and marketing.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- A positive approach to change, being flexible and adaptable.
- Work with ease with technology.
