The Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electric vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. This role requires expertise in EV systems, strong technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on electric vehicles, including battery checks, fluid inspections, and tire rotations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in EV systems, such as battery management systems, electric motors, and charging systems.
Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Conduct thorough inspections of EVs to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
. Document findings and recommendations for repair or maintenance work.
Perform software updates and programming for EV systems, including firmware updates and recalibration of electronic control units (ECUs).
Ensure all software updates are completed accurately and safely
. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for EV maintenance and repair.
Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor to explain repair procedures, provide estimates, and address any questions or concerns.
Provide exceptional customer service and strive to exceed customer expectations.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on EVs.
