Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Create and modify electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) based on engineering designs and specifications.
- Develop detailed plans for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Incorporate design changes, feedback, and updates into CAD drawings as projects progress.
- Generate bill of materials (BOM) and material take-offs based on CAD drawings for procurement and construction purposes.
- Review and verify the accuracy of CAD drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements and design intent.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, such as mechanical and structural engineers, to integrate electrical designs with overall project plans.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and specifications related to electrical designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design, or related field.
- Proven experience working with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, systems, and components.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing electrical design (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot CAD-related issues.
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
