Purpose
To supervise or implement the Project Delivery projects such DN, Capex, and MOC to ensure the safe and successful commissioning, as well as reliable operation of IGCC plant facilities under JIGPC in Jazan, Saudi Arabia.
Nature & Scope
The Jazan IGCC is the worlds largest IGCC and ASU facility producing 2100 MMSCFD syngas, 18,000 MT/Day Oxygen and 4 Gigawatts of power. Facilities and assets include residue gasification, acid gas clean up (Rectisol), soot ash recovery, sulfur recovery (Claus & Scot), combined cycle power plants, materials handling systems, hydrogen recovery, air separation, water utilities systems and wastewater treatment facilities.
Projects such DN, Capex, and MOC are critical to safe and successful commissioning, as well as the reliable and efficient operation of the IGCC plant facilities and associated equipment & systems. As a member of the Project Delivery team, the Electrical Engineer will interact routinely with personnel from plant Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Contractor to align on the deliverables of each respective project. The position emphasizes teamwork, communications, organization, change management, work process optimization, planning, leadership, and hands-on technical skills with comprehensive knowledge across other engineering disciplines.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Safety
Provide & maintain a safe work environment for self & others. Employ good housekeeping methods and demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent injuries.
Project Execution:
You will provide project engineering technical input and task leadership across the following:
Lead in preparing project execution documents such as Scope of Work, Project Execution Plan, and Risk Register.
Lead in conducting engineering evaluation such as Technical Bid Evaluation, issue technical direction & guidance, and oversee inspection & quality control initiatives for all electrical projects being executed by the group.
Employ appropriate control of project management activities (including scope, budget, schedule, execution strategies, risk plans, cost collection / reporting, etc.) while executing projects.
Develop, implement, and manage necessary documentation for project implementation such as Job Safety Analysis, Method Statement, and other similar documents required by the project. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.
Establish & maintain a relationship with the local inspection bureau, maintain relevant statutory, regulatory, technology standards, and code information consistent with JIGPC plant operational objectives.
Establish & maintain compliance with all company and local regulations.
Promote an atmosphere of team spirit through good example, open communication, good listening, and timely problem resolutions.
Drive continuous improvement in safety performance, reliability, and cost of quality goals.
Foster and support positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
Attend to any project requirement that is deemed essential to complete the work as determined by the Project Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Engineering graduate (higher BSEE preferred) with >10 years of relevant experience in power plants utility scale engineering. Experience in Front end Loading engineering project development up to project execution. Experience in design, engineering, and commissioning support of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, synchronous and asynchronous motors, UPS, battery chargers, and protection relays. Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Power Plant (API, ISA, NEC / IEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.) and preferably also Saudi Aramco standards and working practices. Emphasis placed on safety, teamwork, and aptitude toward challenging work. Skills related to outage planning, organization and communication are highly desirable. Proficiency in English speaking and writing. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively throughout all levels within the organization. Knowledge and understanding of local statutory / regulatory inspection requirements. Familiar with EHS and QA/QC procedure requirements
