Job Description
- Providing engineering and technical supports to all electrical work groups at site
- Helping to guide the team of electrical inspectors
- Planning the execution of all electrical related works and coordinating the works with the mechanical and civil engineering teams
- Implementing and monitoring all electrical related works at site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules
- Reviewing and approving the subcontractor detailed design and shop drawings
- Reviewing and approving the method of statement and material
- Reviewing all aspects of site preparation and temporary works construction onsite for conformance with contract documents
- Liaising and attending coordination meetings with client, contractors, consultants, construction manager and other key at the sites of construction to solve technical issues and other related matters
- Following up with local authorities and service providers
- Coordinating the implementation of the BMS , SCADA and MEP interfaces
- Enforcing the relevant safety rules at site and monitoring all aspects of the work for compliance with security, health and safety requirements.
- Monitoring progress of the work for verification of progress payments and schedule
- Conducting daily briefing with Resident Engineers and Assistant Resident Engineers to follow-up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned tasks
- Taking immediate corrective action to avoid any cumulative effect of such deviation and recover the delay to finish the task in due time
- Assisting in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan
- Conducting regular inspections and assess the work performance done by all subcontractors
- Evaluating and resolving any discrepancies and problems arising during construction which affect the quality of works performed
- Submitting site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required
- Managing the testing & commissioning activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum 10 years relevant site electrical experience on rail projects
- Well versed in interpreting and executing electrical related drawings
- Good understanding of business critical scenarios in terms of site management and safety
