Electrical Engineer ( National Talent Pool)

The Role: Reporting to the Senior Manager Utility Services, DXB Live, the focus of the role is to:

Design, maintain, implement and improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.

Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.

Ensure that installation and operations adhere to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.

This role is broadly responsible for :

(a) Leading commercial deliverables for Exhibitions and Events;

(b) Representing and executing electrical planning and delivery;

(c) Ensuring that a qualified, balanced, well-structured and motivated project task team is in place along with the desired workforce to meet our commitment to the client;

(d) Reviewing project contract design documents, performing inspection during construction of project, attending meetings, preparing minutes, punching lists and progress reports;

(e) Ensuring compliance with local governmental laws and regulations concerning labour and personnel welfare;

(f) High Voltage Cable Installation From excavation to laying of cables of all diameters, backfilling and reinstatement Power & Distribution Substations Design, procurement & Implementation;

(g) Handling Electrical workshop works and producing monthly reports of repaired items and cost saving estimation;

(h)Installation and Testing of Power, Switchgear Panels GIS / AIS/Vacuum, Control and Relay panels, Capacitor and Reactor Banks, LVAC Panels, DC System, DMS, SCMS, HVAC and Fire Fighting, Lighting and Small Power, Earthing and Lightning System, Cable Tray Works; and

(I) Possessing a high level of safety awareness, in line with DWTC Policies and Procedure

Key Requirements:

Bachelors in electrical engineering & DM certification

Good Command of Reporting and Communication (English) & the ability to work under high pressure on site; 1-2 years experience in Electrical events authority/industry.

Able to interpret the schematic diagram of electrical circuit and events floor plan.
