JOB PURPOSE:
Formulates, supervises, directs develop and controls activities and co-ordination of design and Engineering of plant hardware changes, including cost control, estimating, planning and scheduling of design and Engineering work for all Electrical projects and assigned multi-discipline projects to ensure the optimum reliability, availability and technical integrity of plant assets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide full Technical support to in house Design Team to prepare Electrical Design and Engineering packages as per SHELL DEP and International standards (IEC, etc ) requirement to support plant integrity and reliability.
- Plan & prepare the design and Engineering packages for Electrical projects and assigned multi-discipline MOCs (Management of Change) or Projects to maintain and enhance HSSE, Integrity, Reliability and Profitability.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to the design office and review all the Electrical Design packages and distributes the Design packages to other discipline and stakeholders for review and comments.
- Formulates, establishes and maintains Design & Engineering control procedures, currently reflecting requirement of the company. Includes cost and budget control procedures to ensure adequate control of all Design and Engineering activities.
- Participates in the Safety Desk Review meeting, incorporates comments in the Design packages and issues final IFC Package.
- Develop Design and Engineering strategies for Electrical projects and assigned multi-discipline MOC`s and projects to achieve project objectives.
- Determine work methods from alternative existing methods in accordance with established Design & Engineering policies and professional standards. Completed assignments are subject to subsequent review.
- Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to position, are executed in compliance with SASREF policy, procedures and best practice to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Lead, motivate, develop and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and grow capability and undertakes training development of Saudi Nationals in department and assists organizational development of department.
- Familiarization of the SASREF Electrical Network and obtain/acquire the correct electrical authorization/switching/engagement level. Being part of Electrical Duty Roster of SASREF.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-6 years relevant experience in a large Petrochemical/Oil and gas Industries.
