Key Responsibilities
Inspection Duties:
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
- Review and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and blueprints to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
Code Compliance
- Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Identify non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions to ensure conformity with regulations.
Documentation And Reporting
- Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, discrepancies, and corrective measures taken.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and rejections for future reference and regulatory purposes.
Collaboration
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address electrical compliance issues and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to electrical inspections, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
Safety Oversight
- Promote and uphold electrical safety protocols and practices in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure proper implementation of safety measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification as an Electrical Inspector is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Inspector or similar role in the construction industry, particularly within the UAE or Gulf region.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel to various project sites across the UAE.
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
