Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including switchgear, generators, UPS systems, transformers, electrical distribution panels, and PDU (Power Distribution Units).
- Monitor and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance programs, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Lead electrical infrastructure projects such as upgrades, expansions, or new installations.
- Conduct electrical load calculations and develop strategies to optimize energy usage in data centers.
- Provide expert input on electrical capacity planning to meet the growing demands of the data center.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc./B.Tech.) in a mechanical discipline.
- 10+ years post-graduation work experience inclusive of time spent working in data centers.
- Hands-on experience with electrical system monitoring tools and software.
- Expertise in high-voltage electrical systems and low-voltage distribution.
- Leadership and ability to mentor and lead a team in electrical engineering best practices.
- Strong understanding of electrical code compliance and safety standards.
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles.
