Electro-Mechanical Inspector
Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Electro-mechanical Inspector to join our team! In this role you will be supervising electrical construction infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist the Electrical Engineer in fulfilling contractual duties on site.
- Attend to Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) submitted by the contractor and take timely action.
- Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
- Receive material inspection requests (MIR) from contractor, inspect the materials delivered at site and report on quantity and technical compliance and sign off requests.
- Maintain daily activity records, including progress photos, readily available for inspection.
- Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
- Inspect MEP equipment/systems installation, testing and commissioning based on the approved shop drawing and to meet project requirements.
- Maintain records of inspections, work executed, etc.
- Assist in or measure work done when required.
- Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
- Ensure site progress information is communicated regularly
- Assist with inspection of completed works, prepare sang lists and handover to operating authority.
- Assist the Electrical Engineer in reviewing Operation & Maintenance manuals and As-Built drawings..
- Coordinate the works to ensure successful handover of the project
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Engineering Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with min 8 years postgraduate experience in Electro Mechanical MV/LV/FOC cable laying, overhead cable laying, Equipment installation in substation, Electro mechanical works in pumping station.
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years related experience in MV/LV/FOC cable laying, overhead cable laying, Equipment installation in substation, Electro mechanical installation works in pumping stations.
- Min 5 years of work experience related on major Electrical Construction projects preferably in the Gulf region
- Proficient in computer literacy, capable of utilizing various software for accessing data, maintaining records, generating reports, and utilizing project-specific engineering and construction software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with the project team.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications, with thorough familiarity with construction-related processes relevant to the assigned area.
