Electronic Design Engineer (Real Estate)
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Electronic Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits and systems for a wide range of applications, from consumer electronics to industrial systems. The role involves working across the entire product development lifecycle, including concept development, schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, testing, and product support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Circuit Design:
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for new products. This includes selecting components, creating schematics, and ensuring designs meet technical, functional, and cost requirements.
- PCB Design and Layout:
- Design and layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) for complex electronic systems. Use PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad) to create high-quality, manufacturable designs.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Build prototypes of electronic systems and components, test them to validate performance, and troubleshoot issues. Perform rigorous testing, including functional, environmental, and reliability tests, to ensure designs meet specifications.
- Simulation and Modeling:
- Use simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, or similar) to model electronic circuits and systems, perform simulations for signal integrity, power analysis, and thermal analysis, and optimize designs before physical prototyping.
- Embedded Systems Development:
- Collaborate with embedded systems engineers to design and integrate microcontrollers, FPGAs, and other programmable devices into electronic systems. Ensure seamless interaction between hardware and software.
- Design for Manufacturability:
- Ensure electronic designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify design improvements for production efficiency, quality control, and cost reduction.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed documentation for designs, including schematics, PCB layouts, bill of materials (BOM), and test plans. Maintain clear and up-to-date design files, specifications, and reports.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS, ISO 9001). Perform EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) and ESD (electrostatic discharge) testing where required.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, firmware, and quality assurance teams, to ensure the successful integration of electronic components into larger systems. Provide technical support to production and field service teams as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electronics design tools, technologies, and industry trends. Propose and implement innovative solutions for performance improvements, cost reductions, or new product features.
