Duties will include:
- Conducting outbound sales calls to prospective customers to pitch energy products and services
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions
- Providing accurate information about products, pricing and promotions to potential customers
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets on a consistent basis
- Handling objections and effectively overcoming customer concerns to close sales
- Following up with leads and maintaining a pipeline of potential customers
- Keeping up with industry trends and updates to ensure product knowledge remains current
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond
- Documenting all interactions and sales activities accurately on the CRM system
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times
What you will need to succeed:
- Proven experience in outbound sales, preferably in the energy industry. Demonstrating success in meeting sales targets is highly desirable
- Exceptional verbal communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with potential customers, articulating product benefits, and handling objections
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills to influence customers and close sales deals. Ability to overcome objections and overcome challenges during the sales process
- Customer focus with a genuine desire to understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, target driven environment and maintain motivation and enthusiasm despite rejection or setbacks
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, customer preferences, and sales strategies.
- Solid understanding of energy products and services, including prices, features and benefits
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage customer interactions, track sales activity and maintain accurate records
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, share best practices, and contribute to a positive team environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks, follow up with leads promptly, and efficiently manage workload to achieve sales targets
