Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and standards-based English language curriculum, incorporating diverse instructional strategies and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Design lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments aligned with curriculum objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Deliver dynamic and interactive English language instruction to students, using a variety of instructional methods, techniques, and technologies to enhance learning.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and interests, providing scaffolding and support as needed.
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, tests, projects, and presentations, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
- Monitor student progress, track academic performance, and communicate with students and parents/guardians about student achievement and areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, respect, and collaboration.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote student behavior, engagement, and participation.
- Provide academic support, guidance, and mentorship to students, addressing individual learning needs and challenges.
- Foster a supportive and caring learning community, promoting social-emotional development, self-confidence, and student well-being.
- Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops, conferences, and training sessions, to enhance teaching skills, pedagogical knowledge, and instructional practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues, participate in team meetings, and contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional learning communities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field; Master's degree or teaching certification preferred.
- Teaching license or certification in English/language arts (if applicable).
