Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Entry-Level Careers Advisor (Strategic College Applications) located in Dubai. As an Entry-Level Careers Advisor, you will be responsible for guiding students through the college application process and providing strategic advice for their career paths. You will work closely with students and their families to explore various college options, help them understand the application requirements, and assist them in preparing compelling application materials. Additionally, you will provide guidance on career planning and help students align their academic choices with their long-term goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized guidance to students on pre-college academic strategies, including course selection, study habits, strengths recognition, and fostering a love for learning.
• Guide students in developing effective pre-college extracurricular strategies, helping them pinpoint interests, explore new activities, deepen existing hobbies, and plan meaningful summer activities.
• Support students in personal development areas such as goal-setting, stress management, time management, and self-reflection on priorities, interests, motivators, and strengths.
• Assist students with additional developmental tasks like creating tailored reading lists, expanding vocabulary, exploring majors and careers, and pursuing online courses.
• Ensure students develop into confident, clear-minded thinkers who engage passionately with their interests and the world around them.

What Success Looks Like:

• Expertly guide students through their academic journey, fostering their growth and achievement.
• Conduct regular meetings with students, ensuring ongoing support and progress monitoring.
• Receive excellent student feedback based on session evaluations and Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
• Adhere to established service protocols and provide timely responses to client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Strong knowledge of college application processes and requirements
• Experience in providing career counseling and guidance to students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish rapport with students and their families
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging careers
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Passion for education and helping students achieve their goals
• Experience working with international students is a plus
