Environmental Health Safety Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with a focus on implementing and maintaining effective HSE programs within the oil & gas industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Provide guidance and support to operational teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Investigate incidents and near misses, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate HSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the oil & gas industry.

In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, API, ISO).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement effective solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or similar certification preferred.

Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
