_The QS Estimator should prepare cost estimates in __
Pre-Tendering __stage for the construction projects to aid management in bidding on or determining price on projects such as items, equipment, machinery & etc. He/ She should be specialized in road and infrastructure construction in __
pre-tendering__. This person will assist and directly report to the estimation manager in preparing tenders for the above-mentioned projects. Candidates must be based in the United Arab Emirates._
_Responsibilities:_
_Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products._
_Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues._
_Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work._
_Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates._
_Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates._
_Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops._
_Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors._
_Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures._
_Establish and maintain the tendering process, and conduct negotiations._
_Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors._
_Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components._
_Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to reduce cost._
_Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project._
_Visit the site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of utility services._
_Requirements:_
_· Must be fluent in verbal and written Arabic and English._
_· Relevant degree in Civil Road and Infrastructure Engineering, Quantity Surveying_
_· Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of civil structures._
_· Highly analytical, conventional, and attentive to detail_
_· 8+ years experience in the relative field and GCC/ UAE region_
_· Great ability for management of financial resources_
_· Versatile in Cost and Estimation Software_
_· Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills_
