Job Description

Designing, developing, and implementing efficient RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) solutions to optimize data storage and retrieval
Collaborating with system architects and hardware engineers to integrate RAID systems into existing infrastructure
Conducting analysis of performance, reliability, and availability metrics to ensure RAID configurations meet organizational standards
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to storage systems, including performance bottlenecks and data integrity concerns
Developing and maintaining documentation for RAID solutions, including design specifications, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Performing regular maintenance and upgrades to RAID systems, ensuring optimal operation and data security
Testing and evaluating new storage technologies and RAID methodologies for potential integration into existing systems
Providing training and support to team members and end-users regarding RAID functionalities and best practices

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in RAID system design, development, and maintenance
Strong knowledge of RAID levels (0, 1, 5, 6, 10) and their associated performance and fault tolerance implications
Experience with various storage technologies, including SSDs, HDDs, and SAN/NAS systems
Proficient in storage management tools and software for monitoring and configuring RAID systems
Understanding of file systems, databases, and data recovery processes
Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques for storage solutions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
Certifications in storage technologies (e.g., CompTIA Storage+, SNIA) are a plus
