Position: Executive Technical Wind
Location: United Arab Emirates (Dubai or Abu Dhabi)
Position Overview:
A top-tier international developer is seeking a highly experienced Executive Technical Wind to join its team in the UAE. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in a turbine technology manufacturer who is now working with a developer in the wind energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage wind projects across the region, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate with development, construction, and operations teams to optimize the efficiency and performance of wind farms.
- Bring expertise in turbine technology, providing strategic and technical recommendations.
- Manage bidding and tender processes, including preparing proposals and achieving financial close.
- Negotiate and review EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and/or O&M (Operations and Maintenance) contracts to ensure favorable terms and project alignment.
- Collaborate with senior management in decision-making for project expansion and future developments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the wind energy sector, ideally with prior work at a turbine manufacturer and currently with a developer.
- Strong technical knowledge in wind generation technologies and project management, including financial close.
- Experience in bids, tenders, and EPC and/or O&M contracts.
- Leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Availability to relocate to Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
