Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client is working together to source an experienced and qualified Senior Exploration Geologist for their team in Saudi Arabia.
The Responsibilities
The Senior Exploration Geologist will play a critical role in advancing the exploration initiatives for metallic mineral resources.
The ideal candidate will have 7-8 years of relevant experience in the metallic mining sector and a demonstrated ability to lead exploration projects from inception to completion.
- Project Management: Lead and manage exploration projects, including the planning, execution, and evaluation phases to ensure effective identification of mineral resources.
- Geological Mapping & Data Analysis: Conduct detailed geological mapping and fieldwork, utilizing GIS-based software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for data collection, analysis, and visualization to identify potential mineral deposits
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, engineers, and environmental specialists, to ensure comprehensive exploration strategies and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Field Supervision: Oversee field exploration activities, including drilling programs, sampling, and geological surveys, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior geologists and field staff, fostering a culture of professional development and collaboration within the team.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in exploration geology, specifically within the metallic mining industry.
- Proficiency in GIS-based software.
- Strong understanding of geological principles, mineral deposit types, and exploration techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
