Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client is working together to source an experienced and qualified Exploration Superintendent for their team in Saudi Arabia.
The Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the exploration team, including geologists and field technicians, to execute exploration programs effectively.
- Develop and implement exploration strategies and plans to identify and evaluate potential mineral deposits.
- Utilize GIS-based software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for geological mapping, data management, and spatial analysis to support exploration activities.
- Conduct geological fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, and drilling, to gather data and assess mineral resource potential.
- Analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to interpret subsurface conditions and identify target areas for exploration.
- Collaborate with the project geologists and other departments (environmental, engineering, etc.) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in exploration geology, specifically within the metallic mining industry.
- Proficiency in GIS-based software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of geological principles, mineral deposit types, and exploration techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
