Job description:Job Purpose
The facade Site/Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the specified quality standards. This role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to manage all aspects of the installation process, from initial planning to final execution
Key Accountability Areas
Project Management:
- Planning and organizing project activities according to the client's requirements and prioritizing them within the project schedule.
- Reviewing the project contract, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and project specifications, then preparing a compliance sheet to ensure all documents are aligned.
Technical Oversight:
- Coordinating with technical, purchase, and production teams to develop a practical methodology for smooth project execution and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the site.
- Reviewing cutting lists before the production process and overseeing materials, accessories, and glass take-off orders.
Quality Control:
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure work meets project standards and specifications.
- Identifying and addressing any defects or issues in construction work.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensuring all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Conducting safety briefings and enforcing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) among the construction team.
Material and Resource Management:
- Overseeing the delivery, storage, and handling of installation materials on-site.
- Ensuring efficient use of materials and resources to minimize waste.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinating with main contractor engineers to ensure site readiness and resolving site requirements.
- Cooperating and interfacing with the consultant team to get approval for installed items on-site.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Preparing monthly progress reports, submitting monthly progress invoices to the main contractor, and following up on approvals and payments.
- Monitoring and preparing weekly progress reports to ensure the work aligns with the project schedule.
- Ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Role Accountability
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-6 years experience in Aluminium and faade Field.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, installation .
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
