The Facility Maintenance Technician executes any routine and ad-hoc maintenance of the building facilities as per the direction given by the Facilities Maintenance Foreman and Facilities Supervisor.
Responsible to perform building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing etc.)
Roles and Responsibility:
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc).
- Assist in the maintenance of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Assist in the maintenance of heating and plumbing systems to ensure they are functional.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Assist in pest control and landscaping related activities.
- Work under the supervision of the Facility Maintenance Foreman.
- Supervise sub-contractors of building maintenance to ensure Safe System at work is followed.
Academic Qualifications:
High School certificate or equivalent
Professional Qualifications:
- Light vehicle driving license preferred
- Certificate in Building Maintenance would be an added advantage
- Knowledge on SAP preferred
- MS Office
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of working/hands on experience in building facilities maintenance
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, AC work.
Other Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to perform multi-task work.
- Report writing skills.
