Job Description

Job Title: Facility Engineer

Location: Jeddah

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facility Engineer to join our team. The Facility Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and management of facilities, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and fully operational. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in facility management, a solid understanding of building systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality and well-maintained facilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the maintenance and operation of company facilities, including buildings, equipment, and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing functionality and efficiency of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical building systems.
  3. Coordinate and supervise facility maintenance staff and external contractors, ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify any maintenance or safety issues, and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or upgrades.
  5. Manage facility budgets, expenses, and procurement of necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring that all expenditures are within approved budgetary limits.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to optimize facility operations, improve energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs, while maintaining a high standard of safety and comfort for occupants.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, health and safety, and environmental services, to ensure that facilities meet regulatory compliance and safety standards.
  8. Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and evaluations related to facility management, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and best practices in facility operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
  2. Proven work experience of at least 8 years in facility management, demonstrating a strong track record of successful facility operations and maintenance.
  3. In-depth knowledge of building systems, facility management principles, and regulatory compliance, with a strong emphasis on safety and sustainability.
  4. Familiarity with facility management software and tools for maintenance scheduling, work order management, and asset tracking.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address facility-related issues proactively and efficiently.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, staff, and external contractors.
  7. An experience in managing the construction of public buildings, parks, stadiums, monuments...etc. It is preferred that he be fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
