Job Description

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of all facility-related functions. This role involves overseeing facility relocation and construction projects, managing utility and maintenance services, and developing budget plans to optimize resource utilization. The Facility Manager will implement standardized processes and build policies to enhance operational efficiency while managing vendor relationships and negotiations. Ultimately, this position aims to create a productive and safe work environment that supports the organization's objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facility Relocation & Construction Project Management:

Lead and manage relocation projects and construction initiatives from planning to execution.

Utility & Facility Maintenance Management:

Oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance of all utilities and facilities.

Costing & Facility Budget Planning:

Develop and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and strategic resource allocation.

Process Standardizations & Building Policies:

Establish and implement standardized processes and policies to enhance facility management efficiency.

Vendor Management & Negotiation:

Build strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts to achieve the best service value.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree: A degree in Facility Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in facility management, construction project management, or a related field is preferred.

Core Competencies:

Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee facility relocation and construction projects effectively, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Operational Excellence: Strong understanding of facility operations, maintenance management, and process standardization to enhance efficiency.

Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

Vendor Management: Skills in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring service quality and agreement compliance.

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws to ensure compliance and promote a safe workplace.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and external partners.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly.

Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and challenges in a dynamic facility environment.
