Fashion Designer

We are seeking a talented and creative Women's Fashion Designer to join our team and develop stylish and innovative clothing lines for the modern woman.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct market research to identify current and emerging trends in women's fashion.

* Develop mood boards and design concepts for new clothing lines.

* Source and select fabrics, trims, and notions that align with design concepts and budget.

* Collaborate with technical designers to ensure designs are feasible for production.

* Develop prototypes and oversee sample production to ensure quality and fit.

* Fit garments on models and make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit, and present design concepts and collections to buyers and internal teams.

* Work closely with merchandising and sales teams to understand customer preferences and market demands.

* Stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques in the fashion industry.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 2-3 years of experience designing women's apparel.

* Strong portfolio showcasing a creative and innovative design sense.

* Proficiency in fashion sketching and technical flats would be an advantage.

* Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and construction techniques.

* Ability to translate trends into wearable and commercially viable designs.

* Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Bonus points:

* Knowledge of the women's wear market and target demographics.

* Experience working in a fast-paced fashion environment.
