Role purpose:
The Hamilton Jet field application engineer/technician offers innovative technical solutions while serving as a support system for the Hamilton Jet sales and aftersales team. Provide hands-on technical assistance in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, general maintenance, overhauling and emergency technical support for our Hamilton Jet customers.
Key accountabilities:
Serve as the hands-on technical solution provider to our Hamilton Jet customers by executing effective on-site technical support.
Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, general maintenance, overhauling and provide emergency support for our Hamilton Jet customers.
Ability to travel internationally to complete required on-site inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, general maintenance and overhauls of Hamilton Jet products.
Contribute positively to customer satisfaction by ensuring that no complaints regarding the solution's functionality are raised by clients.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and technical site visit records.
Identify required parts, fluids, tools and equipment required to complete each job.
Coordinate and communicate with internal Hamilton Jet team members to schedule and facilitate necessary tools, equipment and any additional support on site to ensure the completion of the required job.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including site managers, project managers, vessel owners, vessel crew, vessel technicians and third-party contractors on site.
Able and willing to work alone/ outside office hours/ dirty environments/ tight spaces/ in high temperatures
Willing to work on public holidays and weekends if required
Adhere with on-site HSE rules and regulations.
Responsible for care/ maintenance/ security off all provided tools incl. special tools.
Attend necessary product training to stay up to date on the latest technical product information, troubleshooting procedures and repair procedures.
In the absence of sufficient Hamilton Jet workload, support the general service department with ongoing installation, commissioning and repairs of all products within the Exalto Emirates range.
Secondary duties:
Identify possible opportunities for additional equipment requirements which are in the scope of Exalto Emirates.
Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with clients, comprehending their requirements, and delivering effective technical solutions with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma/Bachelors in Engineering
Proficiency in Mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and system integration.
Knowledge of marine equipment, electrical systems, and control systems
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience working in a Drydock environment / mechanical ship repair environment
Basic knowledge of hoisting and lifting
Basic knowledge of heating and cooling of bearings etc.
Strong mechanical knowledge
Basic knowledge of vessel propulsion lines
Basic knowledge of troubleshooting control systems
Basic electrical knowledge
Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems.
