Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Archaeologist, who will At a broad level, the role is to assist the environmental project team to ensure compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) proposed mitigations, approved Environmental Permit to Construct (EPC), together with any relevant laws and regulations and client environmental targets and requirements, together with international best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as the site archaeologist, ensuring contractors compliance with regulatory and guidance requirements, under the leadership of the Site Environmental Project Manager
- Monitoring and Reporting on Project construction Compliance during project construction
- Directing Archaeological monitoring, managing temporary field staff, or subcontractors
- Preparing daily reports, Project forms, and Project final reports
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of complex projects and subcontractor coordination
- Evaluative testing review, site mitigation and monitoring
- Utilize advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems), remote sensing, and 3D modeling to enhance archaeological research and analysis
Essential Skills:
- Bachelors degree in a related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years experience, with field and project experience desired. Having previously worked outside of academia, e.g., for a consultancy, will be viewed positively
- The project archaeologist will be expected to carry out a number of defined services, in addition to ad-hoc requirements that emerge during the life of the project, and not limited to the assessment of the significance of archaeological sites that could be affected by the construction programme, identifying protection measures and monitoring any removal or damage of archaeological assets
- Experience working on construction sites
