Purpose of Job
Jobholders at this level carry out specific tasks independently but are subject to close supervision. They research, collect and analyze information, draft reports and documents, participate in specific meetings and develop their own professional expertise. They undertake simple operational activities including collecting field inspection plans and related guidelines for the development of inspection operational plan, gathering raised complaints and detected non-compliant cases to develop field inspection report and consolidating all underlined potential trends and repetitive actions in a report to dispatch accordingly for confirmation to relevant stakeholders.
Job Responsibilites
- Review developed field inspection plans and form a clear understanding of set related objectives and guideline to initiate the development of proper inspections operational plan in line with ZATCA's overall Strategy
- Develop inspections operational plan in line with needs and overall strategy identifying specific characteristics to focus on while executing inspection
- Attend trainings and workshops to form a clear picture of identified needs and gaps to focus on and update accordingly field inspection operational plan
- Set and communicate inspector's rotation schedule in line with developed operational plan ensuring covering all areas effectively and on-time
- Conduct field inspection on tax evasions, fraud, breaches, and non-compliance cases based on updated inspection operational plans and objectives to detect non-compliance cases ensuring proper excise goods pricing, appropriate inventory of warehouses, etc.
- Evaluate field inspections activities to ensure uniformity and standardization based on field inspection guidelines and highlight misalignment activities to recommend needed modifications
- Manage inspectors activities ensuring proper compliance with inspection operational plan and raise findings to evaluate performance and take needed corrective actions accordingly
- Prepare field inspection reports and escalate raised complaints, all evidence and proof to ensure fact-based decisions and guarantee fair determination of fines
- Consolidate in a report all underlined potential trends and repetitive actions and dispatch to relevant stakeholders for confirmation
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Perform other duties as requested
- Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
- Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes
