Job Description

Our client is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapies for serious diseases, including HIV, liver diseases, and cancer. Known for its leadership in antiviral treatments, the company also explores therapies in oncology, inflammation, and cardiovascular conditions.

They are looking for a Field Medical Manager. It's a 12-month contract.

The Field Medical Manager represents the company to key stakeholders, including expert groups, medical professionals, scientific societies, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies. This role involves engagement in scientific exchange, presenting complex clinical and scientific information to both internal teams and external audiences, and maintaining strong relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs), disease experts, and healthcare providers (HCPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in peer-to-peer scientific exchanges and discussions with TLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders in the field.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with TLs, HCPs, and other key experts in hematology/oncology.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and educational content to internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
  • Gather insights from HCP interactions and share feedback compliantly with internal teams.
  • Contribute to clinical trial activities, including site selection, activation, and support for KITE/Gilead clinical studies.
  • Provide support during professional meetings by staffing exhibits, reporting on scientific sessions, and facilitating discussions with TLs and HCPs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and healthcare regulations in all activities, including clinical trials, scientific interactions, and responses to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information.
  • Stay current with clinical, scientific, and technical advancements in hematology/oncology and the companys therapeutic areas.
  • Represent the company and Medical Affairs at scientific exchanges and collaborate with external healthcare and scientific communities.
  • Establish and maintain long-term, productive relationships with healthcare professionals in the assigned territory.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific information and document accordingly.
  • Provide clinical input, training, and support for internal teams and external partners as needed.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of clinical content for medical educational events and activities.
  • Collaborate closely with both field-based and headquarters teams to address site questions and enhance healthcare knowledge.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Advanced medical degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc) required.
    • Extensive clinical practice or Medical Affairs experience in hematology/oncology.
    • Experience in CAR-T or cell therapy is a plus.
    • Significant industry experience, with a proven track record of successful launches in hematology or oncology.
    • Knowledge of hospital and community practices, particularly in hematology/oncology departments and healthcare systems in the GCC region.
    • Familiarity with the regulatory and compliance environment within the healthcare industry.
