Your new role: Position as the Lead of the Field Engineer based in Egypt, as a direct involvement on the field as Senior Field Engineer. Oversight and responsibility for team of Field Engineers. The Field Service Lead acts as the first line supervisor and coach to a team of Field Engineers. The Egypt Supervisor ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing with his/her team high-level of support and optimal performance of the QuidelOrtho install base across his/her region. Working closely with the Business Team in order to define the service strategy and implement it successfully.

What You Will Be Doing In Your New Role

  • Oversight and responsibility for team of Field Engineers.
  • Field ride with each FE on regular basis to ensure his/her team has the required level of competencies, receives the tools, information needed and follows processes in order to deliver the correct level of service to our customer.
  • Detecting and anticipates any potential critical situation, creates recovery plan and communicates plan with counterparts.
  • Evaluating performance using available controls and metrics.
  • Developing his team.
  • Organizing the recruiting and doing the proposal for new team members.
  • Managing with his team the spare parts stock.
  • Directly interacts with his team, sales organization and customers to evaluate satisfaction with field performance and to help build a stronger relationship between customers and QuidelOrtho.
  • Ensuring optimal performance of the QuidelOrtho install base across all customers in their region.
  • Achieving goals and objectives and ensure achievement of contractual service agreements for the region.
  • Acting as a Field Engineer in his territory for specific situations, KOL, and/or assigned IB.
  • Defining Budget for the market.
  • Driving the Customer Excellence in his region.
  • Working with all stakeholders such as Customer Services, Logistics, Sales, LS to allow the better customer experience on the market.

The Individual

  • BA/BS Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Min. 5 years of Field Service with QuidelOrtho or equivalent IVD provider.
  • Experience in a multinational organization is preferable.
  • IT skills an knowledge.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Microsoft-Office.
  • Demonstrable skill at guiding/coaching/motivating direct reports to achieve objectives.
  • Recognized as skilled Field Engineer; go to person for complex fix and issues management.
  • Good communication skills and ability to manage complex conversations.

The role is based in Cairo, Egypt.

Required travel is 30-50%.
