Job Description

We are looking for a motivated individual to handle the technical support of equipment by demonstrating, installing, and following up on equipment maintenance. They will be receiving calls from customers related to the repair/maintenance of equipment. Moreover, they will be completing regular preventive maintenance (as per a complete cycle) of the installed units as per the contracts or as instructed. During which a comprehensive service report must be filled out, signed by the customer, filed into the related office, and copies sent to headquarters.

Technical Function:

1. Becoming highly knowledgeable & specialized about company equipment

2. Attending training efficiently

3. Installing equipment in assigned territories or assisting the Territory Manager in installation & demonstrations

4. Demonstrating the equipment operation and assisting customers in operating it as per agreement specifications

5. Responding to customer's & clients request efficiently and as fast as possible

6. Keeping all machines in his/her territory functioning as per manufacturer specs and recommendations.

7. Running field operations, offering technical support and troubleshooting on site issues

8. Handling equipment maintenance issues or refer to the Chief Engineer for major maintenance.

9. Providing necessary training for colleagues, practitioners and assistants about products and their use by assisting in operations & doing demonstrations & presentations.

10. Attending surgeries on regular basis to support the doctor's or assistant's queries and show follow-up on products sold.

11. Performing wet labs on regular basis to demonstrate product advantages.

12. Keeping a professional image of the company by having high work ethics, superior product knowledge and solid information about products, procedures & competition and by spreading knowledge.

13. Taking care of the equipment and repair tools in consignment with him and keep record/note of its check list.

14. Handling customers complaints professionally after referring to Chief Engineer.

15. Meeting with clients and stakeholders.

16. Taking personal responsibility for answering customers queries knowledgeably.

17. Making all efforts and queries to know about all the competitive products inside-out starting with composition, packaging, prices & offers.

18. Gaining knowledge in the operation of all machines to be able to immediately detect any malfunction and correct as needed

19. Mitigating risk, ensuring compliance and evaluating environmental impact.

Special Conditions for the Job:

  • Able to attend surgeries & assist in them if needed
  • Constant research & readings are a must, to be updated on any new releases of machine updates.
  • Flexible & always ready because the nature of the job requires constant traveling & mobilization.

Qualifications:

  • Holding a Bachelor Degree of Biomedical engineer, MBA is a plus
  • Having up to 2 years field service experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office & hardware use
  • Good knowledge of eye anatomy & characteristics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time Management skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Researching Skills
  • Organized & adaptable
  • Eager for learning
