Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have oilfield experience as a service hand, preferably in Tubular Inspection or Casing/Completion Running. In this role, the AMTPJ Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical guidance, inspecting tubular products, and supporting the rig crew with OCTG recommended running guidelines while running in hole (RIH).
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide Running Supervision for Casing, Tubing and Tubular Accessories Premium Connections
- Monitoring Tubulars Make-Up while advising with the recommended practices in accordance with our Running Guidelines
- Verifying Torque-Turn & Torque-Time Make-Up graphs following acceptance criteria as per our Running Guidelines
- Providing Technical Assistance during Pre-Assemblies preparation jobs
- Performing Visual Tube Inspection
- Performing Visual Thread Inspection
- Manually field dressing for API and Premium Connections at well site as per applicable guidelines
- Supporting Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) scope and services within the region.
- Assist in qualifying and auditing Threading Licensees within the region
- Provide Market Intelligence from the field for our products, service levels and market expectations
- Investigate and resolve end user customer issues and problems in the field
- Provide technical rig site support (and supervise if necessary) during installation of Company's products on end user customer location
- Attend and participate in end user customer meetings as needed
- Adhere to training and knowledge development of our standards and procedures
- Reporting to the office while off-duty according to department's needs
- Adapt to changing schedules and respond to urgent service requests
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or High Technical Diploma
- 5+ years of experience in the installation of tubular connections (Premium, Semi-Premium & API) for tubular products for the Oil and Gas (Energy) Industry
- Awareness of Patents and Trademarks
- 10+ years of experience in Rig Site and Customer Product Support
- Working knowledge of the seamless tubular manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge of oil and gas drilling operations and equipment
- Experience in Oilfield Services is a plus
