Job Overview:
Badia Ventures is looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the company's financial planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
As a Finance & Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization while supporting strategic decision-making through financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations.
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of the financial month-end and year-end processes.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and controls are in place.
- Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support management in decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial reporting and operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in a mid-senior capacity.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to provide actionable insights.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
