Position Overview:
The Finance Manager in a real estate company will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring the financial health of the company, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role involves managing the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities, as well as ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
Develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
- Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support business objectives.
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations.- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity and efficient use of financial resources.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
- Investment & Risk Management:
Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct financial due diligence.
- Manage real estate portfolio, assessing financial risks and returns.
Develop risk management strategies and maintain adequate insurance coverage.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.- Implement cost control measures to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Monitor and control expenditures within approved budgets.
- Tax Planning & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax planning strategies.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate tax filings and audits.
- Team Leadership & Development:
Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Identify training and development needs, providing opportunities for professional growth.
Act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Support strategic initiatives, such as mergers, acquisitions, and capital projects.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
- Proven track record of financial management and leadership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
